B2B Marketing Director

Kalkomeyis seeking a Director of B2B Marketing to build and scale our B2G and B2B marketing engine. This is a builder role for a hands‑on leader who enjoys creating strategy, structure, and capabilities from the ground up.

You will own how Kalkomey shows up to government, business, and institutional customers, shaping marketing strategy, sales enablement, account‑based marketing, brand presence, and field engagement to support commercial growth. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-obsessed, commercially minded, and motivated by our mission to make the outdoors safer and more accessible for everyone.

What You’ll Do

B2B Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute a cohesive B2B marketing strategy aligned to company growth goals.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Growth Marketing, Content Operations and Executive Leadership to align marketing efforts with commercial priorities.
  • Build programs that support the full government customer lifecycle, including acquisition, conversion, expansion, and retention.
  • Translate go‑to‑market strategy for new product launches for government customers.
  • Translate government customer insights into clear, compelling messaging for complex, relationship‑based buying environments.

Sales Enablement

  • Establish and lead a sales enablement capability that supports all sales motions in partnership with Sales leadership.
  • Own creation and ongoing evolution of sales assets, including:
  • Pitch decks and executive presentations
  • Product and solution one‑pagers
  • Case studies, testimonials, and proof points
  • Competitive and positioning materials
  • Renewal and expansion support materials
  • Ensure sales materials are consistent, current, and easy for teams to access and use.

Client Marketing, Community & Advocacy

  • Build B2G customer marketing and advocacy programs that deepen engagement and strengthen long‑term partnerships.
  • Develop structured ways for government customers to share their stories through references, case studies, events, and speaking opportunities.
  • Create and support government customer communities and events in partnership with Sales.

Regulatory Publications & Printed Course Materials

  • Provide strategic oversight of the in‑house creative team responsible for regulatory print and digital publishing, ensuring the team is enabled to execute effectively and at scale.
  • Own accountability for the fulfillment of state‑mandated regulatory publications (print and digital), ensuring all materials meet contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and delivery timelines.

Brand & Field Marketing (Kalkomey)

  • Own and steward the Kalkomey brand across all B2G/B2B audiences.
  • Ensure brand consistency and clarity across all external‑facing materials and touchpoints.
  • Lead conference and event strategy, including messaging, presence, and coordination with sales teams.

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing B2B marketing team made up of sales enablement, events, and an in‑house creative production team.
  • Own the B2B marketing budget and allocate resources to the highest‑impact initiatives.
  • Hire, coach, and develop talent; establish clear processes, documentation, and operating rhythms.
  • Implement tools and workflows that enable scalable, efficient execution.
What You’ll Need
  • 7–10+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally within software, technology, or content businesses.
  • Proven success supporting revenue growth through sales enablement, client marketing, events, and go‑to‑market execution.
  • Experience working with government, public‑sector, or institutional customers and complex buying cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams while partnering closely with Sales and Customer Success, Product and Growth Marketing.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical, structured thinker with a hands‑on execution mindset.
  • Customer‑obsessed, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a growing, evolving organization.
