Senior Business Development Analyst, EC/VC

Join Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati as a Senior Business Development Analyst in the Marketing Department. This role supports our Emerging Company Venture Capital Practice (ECVC) and plays a key part in elevating the profile of the practice group by supporting client and pipeline development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Support and drive marketing and business development initiatives for the ECVC practice.
• Conduct in‑depth research on markets, industries, companies, and individuals.
• Produce data using firm technologies and services (CRM Salesforce, Intro Hive, Pitchbook, Capital IQ, etc.).
• Contribute to execution of winning pitches with Pitch & Proposal team.
• Implement best practices around event preparation, follow‑up and ROI analysis.
• Work closely with attorneys to prepare event briefings.
• Track results and prepare responsive reports and analyses.
• Curation of attorney experience for league tables, deal sheets, pitches, award submissions.
• Liaise with internal departments on cross‑departmental projects.
• Support firmwide marketing and business development initiatives as needed.
• Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years in a professional services business development function supporting transactional practices.
• Experience supporting corporate practices and events is a plus.
• Exemplary communication skills (verbal & written).
• Detail‑oriented with superior proofreading and fact‑checking skills.
• Highly organized, able to stay productive under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and database applications.
• Aptitude for learning new software rapidly.
• Independent and team‑oriented work style.
• Strong initiative to identify and act on opportunities.
• Self‑motivated, positive attitude, deep curiosity about technology and life sciences.

Location:

Austin, TX (other locations may be considered).

Salary:

• Austin, Century City, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Seattle: $91,800 – $124,200 per year.
• Palo Alto, San Francisco: $102,000 – $138,000 per year.
