About the Role:

The Supply Chain & Operations Coordinator will be a key leader responsible for the end-to-end management of LALO Tequila's supply chain, from raw material procurement and production planning to distributor inventory management and new product innovation. This role requires a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive individual capable of navigating complex logistics, managing vendor relationships, and driving critical business decisions related to forecasting and production prioritization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demand & Inventory Planning
  • Own and manage the annual depletion forecasting process, including a significant reforecast in Q2 and oversight of monthly Sales reforecasts during the second half of the year
  • Translate total monthly Sales depletion numbers into specific SKU-level forecasts to inform distributor orders and internal production plans
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of updated sales forecasts into all relevant operational models (e.g., production model, inventory planning model)
  • Maintain optimal distributor inventory levels by issuing monthly Recommended Order Quantities (ROQs), ensuring distributors maintain a target of 60 Days on Hand (DOH) for each SKU.
  • Production & Logistics Management
  • Develop, update, and communicate the detailed monthly production plan to the distillery, specifying quantities and required SKUs
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for production prioritization during emergency situations or capacity constraints, communicating trade-offs and ensuring missed production is rescheduled and accounted for
  • Manage communication with third-party logistics (3PL) partners regarding scheduling and execution of product pickups and shipments
  • Serve as the escalation contact for any logistics or customs issues, proactively securing delivery appointments, expediting customs paperwork, and resolving transport bottlenecks
  • Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Manage the full Procure-to-Pay cycle: place Purchase Orders (POs), ensure timely vendor payment, and monitor on-time delivery
  • Lead contract and pricing negotiations with existing and prospective vendors to secure optimal terms and cost efficiencies
  • Manage vendor quality issues and lead strategic initiatives to diversify the supply base (e.g., derisking foreign-source dependencies)
  • Innovation & New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Lead the end-to-end operational execution of new product launches
  • Coordinate with raw material vendors on the development, sampling, and approval of new components
  • Collaborate with regulatory and legal teams to obtain necessary approvals
  • Work with the Sales team to ensure proper state-level listing/registration required for legal sale and distribution.
  • Professional working proficiency in both English and Spanish is required to perform essential job duties, including effective communication with Spanish-speaking clients and stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or Planning, ideally within the beverage, CPG, or spirits industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting techniques and managing complex inventory planning models
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders (internal and external) simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel internationally, as required, to support business operations and stakeholder engagement
