Job details are posted with base pay range of $14.90/hr - $22.40/hr this role is part of the Manheim mobile inspections team for a designated region and focuses on conducting vehicle condition inspections on a client's lot. The Inspector documents overall vehicle condition accurately within Manheim inspection parameters, builds trust with clients, and helps demonstrate the value of the Manheim Marketplace.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections.
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer/clients  lot safely.
• Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate information into the inspection system (VIN, mileage, sub-series).
• Inspect and document vehicle equipment, noting damage, missing or inoperable items.
• Record exterior condition (tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components) and interior condition (seats, dashboard, options).
• Perform basic mechanical checks (powertrain, drivetrain, electrical components).
• Prepare and provide daily activity reports for management.
• Adapt to changes in daily appointments to ensure efficiency of dealer visits.
• Develop knowledge of clients in the territory and collaborate with partners to maintain active Manheim mobile inspections through proactive on-lot engagement.
• Receive data from partners and leverage it to maximize volume of units inspected on dealer lots.
• Represent Cox Automotive as a brand ambassador and provide premier client experience by interfacing with core clients and ensuring satisfaction.
• Work as a solid team player with the Wholesale Specialist team, peers, other Manheim work groups and auctions.
• Utilize  for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews.
• Understand NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
• Support a lean continuous improvement culture and maintain safety commitments by following safety procedures.
• Maintain production expectations as directed by leadership.
• Comply with safety and health procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED required; 3 years of experience.
• Automotive knowledge preferred (body and mechanical).
• 1-2 years of automotive-related experience preferred.
• Valid driver s license and safe driving record required.
• Travel 100%; reliable transportation required. Reimbursement program may depend on miles driven.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; strong technical aptitude.
• Detail-oriented; experience with handheld and other documentation devices preferred.
• Ability to work independently with remote supervision; multitask and follow directions.
• Body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge helpful; familiarity with unibody and full-frame helpful.
• Physical ability to lift at least 30 lbs.; regularly stand, walk, talk, hear; crouch, bend, kneel; reach inside or underneath vehicle.
• Near vision for identifying dings, scratches, and damage; ability to assess lighting conditions.
• Must be able to operate under required time frames to meet business needs.

• Base pay range: $14.90/hr - $22.40/hr.
• Hourly pay rate may vary based on location and experience. Eligible for annual incentive/commission target up to $6,000.
• Benefits include a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off per month and seven paid holidays, plus various leave options (bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, parental leave).
