DescriptionGENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Criminal Investigations Divisions of the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking an Administrative Assistant who will provide administrative support or technical program assistance work for the Professional Standards Unit, Law Enforcement Division. Work involves dissemination information, maintain filing systems, data entry and administrative support work.

EssentialPosition Functions
- Prepares, edits, and distributes correspondence, reports and statistical data maintains all digital files
- Reports training hours to TCOLE and maintains spreadsheets with training data. Must be proficient in excel data entry.
- Maintains and Organizing Training/ Background files per TCOLE guidelines
- Performs general office duties such as filing and maintaining a filing system, answering, and routing phone/emails, answers and routes calls, greets guests, routing and sorting unit mail and ordering and maintaining office supplies.
- Coordinates training request, rosters
- Compiles data for databases and prepares summaries or reports.
- Manages and maintains schedules and travel arrangements for unit staff
- Case management – open and closing unit cases
- Assist with unit monthly inventory reporting. Verifies location of equipment, tracks inventory information, prepares forms, completes spreadsheets, submits monthly/annual paperwork, and maintains files within the division.
- Prepares Public information Act (PIA) responses for the unit
- Assist division management as needed with special projects
- Performs related work as assigned
- Maintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions
- Attends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule
- Ensures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information
- Complies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity
- Education:
Graduation from high school or equivalent - Experience:
Three years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: administrative support, clerical work, customer service, general office, secretarial work, or legal support; may substitute ninety credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a year-for-year basis - Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures and criminal justice system
- Skill in using Microsoft Office to include excel

- Ability to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)
