Job Description
AMD Data Center GPU board design team seeks an Operations and Administrative Assistant to support the Board Design Team by providing professional, customer-focused support to its management and staff. This team is responsible for designing and delivering AMD Data Center GPU systems located primarily in Austin, Colorado, and Markham, Canada. In this role, you will perform diversified operations and administrative duties for the organization and the team members to ensure teamwork flows well.
This role requires a high degree of problem‑solving, tact, initiative, and judgment and a thorough understanding of business practices and procedures. Ability to coordinate and handle various priorities and schedules while confidentially handling personnel data is required.
- Support the Team's management in coordinating and managing the group’s event schedule, conference rooms booking, and travel logistics when necessary.
- Work on team operations needs such as Purchase orders, budget tracking, Capital/lab/IT purchases.
- Managing the Team's Confluence page, newsletters, training trackers, etc.
- Manage executive meetings coordination.
- Support team office spending needs, monitor and replenish office supply inventory.
- Support integration of new hire by coordinating office set‑up, asset assignment, and other new hire logistics.
- Collaborate with IT and Security management to track the status of our group's help desk tickets, and ensure timely resolution, including tracking and ordering of the group’s laptop, desktop, and software needs.
- Communicate key dates and information regarding Site Executive initiatives and activities.
- Coordinate catering and supplies for internal and customer meetings.
- Support other activities as necessary.
- Proactive team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Experience working effectively across organizations and geographic sites.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to build effective working relationships across organizational boundaries.
- Proven ability to work independently and with limited direction.
- Ability to create and contribute to a positive work environment and employee morale, following AMD’s Cultural Principles.

Word, PowerPoint, Excel, One Note, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
- Prior experience working as a Business operations and administrative assistant in a similar environment.
- Ability to work independently and seek areas for continuous improvement.
- Support for employee engagement.
- Experience with supporting teams in a variety of functions and assignments.
- Experience working in a fast paced team environment.
