Steven Douglas has been engaged on a Senior Cost Accountant opportunity in Austin, Texas.
This role is on-site 5 days per week.
This is a newly created position that is critical to building out the accounting team. The ideal candidate will be a strong senior-level accountant with cost accounting experience who could grow from this role into a Cost Accounting Manager position.
The Role:- Responsible for all manufacturing cost accounting including month end close, maintaining accurate costs, labor & overhead absorption, inventory management, freight and duty tracking and monitoring.
- 5+ years of work experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
- Ability to understand the manufacturing environment and the associated financial processes.
- Knowledge of supply chain, receiving, inventory flow, operations process and manufacturing principles.
