Senior GL Accountant ERP and Process Optimization

Manufacturing Environment

We are seeking a hands on General Ledger Accountant with strong ERP systems fluency and manufacturing experience.

This role is ideal for someone who understands how accounting entries flow through subledgers, inventory, costing, and financial reporting and who enjoys improving the systems and processes behind the numbers.

This is not a budgeting and forecasting role.

This is not an IT configuration role.

This is a systems savvy accounting leadership position within a growing manufacturing organization.

• Manage and improve General Ledger processes in a manufacturing environment
• Ensure accurate integration between GL and subledgers including AP, AR, Costing, Fixed Assets, and Inventory
• Drive close process improvements and workflow optimization
• Partner with IT to troubleshoot ERP issues and enhance system functionality
• Support ERP enhancements, testing, upgrades, and implementations
• Identify opportunities to automate manual journal entries and reconciliations
• Strengthen internal controls and maintain process documentation
• Support audit and SOX compliance requirements
• Assist with cost accounting processes and inventory analysis as needed

• 4+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong General Ledger ownership experience
• Clear understanding of cost accounting and inventory accounting flows
• Hands on ERP experience such as Oracle Fusion, SAP, JDE, or similar systems
• Experience improving accounting workflows or participating in system implementations
• Ability to analyze and resolve system related accounting discrepancies
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
• CPA or similar credential preferred but not required

The ideal candidate started in accounting, developed deep GL ownership in a manufacturing setting, and became the go to resource for how the ERP and accounting processes truly work. They understand how standard cost impacts inventory, how variances roll through COGS, and how to improve the systems that support financial reporting.
