We’re partnering with a reputable company in Austin that’s looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a 6-month contract. This role is perfect for someone with a solid foundation in revenue accounting and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Own key areas of revenue accounting, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), sales returns, discounts, and cutoff processes
- Support monthly and quarterly close activities and assist with financial reporting
- Collaborate with the sales team to review contracts and understand terms affecting revenue
- Analyze and reconcile revenue-related accounts
- Work closely with the broader accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition and general accounting principles
- Experience in retail, ecommerce, or consumer products is a plus
- Someone who is analytical, asks questions, and adapts well to change
