Senior Accountant

Reports To: Controller / Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team in Austin, Texas. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and supporting operational decision-making in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities and deep expertise in manufacturing cost accounting.
Cost accounting experience is REQUIRED for this role.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Own all core cost accounting functions
  , including:
• Standard cost updates
• Inventory valuation
• Manufacturing overhead analysis
• Production variance analysis
• BOM (Bill of Materials) review
• Prepare detailed financial statements, management reports, and cost analysis for leadership.
• Partner with operations, production, and supply chain teams to understand cost drivers and operational performance.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process with cost‑focused insights.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and establish/maintain strong internal controls.
• Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audits.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen accuracy and efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience
  , with MUST HAVE 2+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost analysis.
• Experience working within manufacturing, production, or industrial environments.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar) and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
