The Cryptocurrency Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting and financial reporting of digital asset transactions. This role focuses on accurately recording cryptocurrency activity, reconciling blockchain transactions, assisting with compliance and reporting requirements, and maintaining detailed records of digital assets. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of cryptocurrency concepts and blockchain technology.

• Record and reconcile cryptocurrency transactions across multiple wallets, exchanges, and custodians
• Maintain accurate ledgers for digital assets, including purchases, sales, transfers, staking rewards, mining income, and fees
• Track cost basis, gains, and losses for cryptocurrency transactions
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing related to digital assets
• Reconcile on-chain data with internal accounting systems and exchange statements
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports involving cryptocurrency holdings
• Assist with tax reporting requirements, including capital gains and transaction summaries
• Monitor transaction accuracy and identify discrepancies or irregular activity
• Maintain documentation for audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
• Stay informed on evolving cryptocurrency accounting standards and regulatory guidance

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain, and digital asset transactions
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, Xero)
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Experience with cryptocurrency accounting platforms (e.g., Coin Tracker, Koinly, Tax Bit, Bitwave)
• Understanding of GAAP or IFRS related to digital assets
• Familiarity with wallets, exchanges, DeFi protocols, and staking mechanisms
• Prior experience in fintech, blockchain, or Web3 environments
