Part-Time Controller for Nonprofit Organizations

As a part‑time controller you will be the outsourced CFO for multiple non‑profit clients. You will build trust with clients, support board and finance committees, and help them meet their mission while growing professionally in a fast‑growing, award‑winning firm.
Responsibilities- Transform nonprofit client financial departments to support mission delivery.
- Financial reporting for management and board decision making & presentations.
- Recommend & implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls & compliance policies.
- Transactional activities – accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition & billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintaining work papers.
- Analysis & data visualization, budgeting & forecasting.
- Grant management, allocations & funder reporting.
- Prepare for and manage annual audit.
- Provide client & staff training opportunities.
- Passionate about nonprofit organizations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5‑7+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience working remotely preferred.
- Able to manage & lead multiple clients independently, responding promptly.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with multiple GL packages, especially Quick Books, and electronic bill pay systems rozp.
- Non‑profit accounting, public accounting or consulting experience is a plus.
- CPA certification is a plus.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus.
