Accounting Assistant

• Enter vendor invoices with proper coding.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and promptly resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in maintaining accurate vendor and client files.
• Monitor and reconcile company credit card transactions and monthly statements.
• Respond to vendor inquiries professionally while ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with internal team to verify invoice approvals and required documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Answer incoming calls.
• Assist in generating and sending monthly invoices to customers.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience in accounting in a construction environment preferred but not required.
• Experience with accounting and billing software.
• Basic knowledge of accounting rules and regulations.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize as required.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain accountability in a remote environment (1 day per week).
• Self-starter and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
