Join our dynamic team in the energy sector as a Permanent Senior Accountant. We are a fast-growing, sustainability-focused company at the forefront of the energy industry, and we are looking for a driven, detail-oriented individual to help us continue to pave the way. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a preference for those holding a CPA designation.

Experience in the energy or natural gas sector is a plus. The role will involve year-end closing activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and much more.

Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Preparing and posting journal entries, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all entries and supporting documentation.
2. Performing year-end closing activities, including the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
3. Reconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
4. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing input based on historical trends and future projections.
5. Providing support for internal and external audits, liaising with auditors to ensure the smooth completion of the audit process.
6. Assisting with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Collaborating with other departments to provide financial information and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the role of Permanent Senior Accountant, candidates must have:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
2. A CPA designation is preferred.
3. Experience in the energy or natural gas sector is a plus.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large amounts of data.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. A commitment to sustainability and a passion for the energy industry.
