Thriving Single Family Office looking for experienced, full-time accounting & AP specialist to support Controller in day-to-day operations and monthly reporting in Downtown Austin. This position is 100% in-office.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, extremely detail oriented, and able to work collaboratively with others to refine our accounting and bill pay processes. This person will also be comfortable working independently with little oversight and have strong time management skills to meet strict monthly deadlines.

Additionally, discretion is of the utmost importance as this person will have access to both personal and business financial information. Someone who takes initiative, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in their work will thrive here.

Responsibilities
  • Categorizing a high volume of transactions for both personal and business entities in Quick Books
  • Maintaining current, accurate data in online accounting and bill pay software (Quickbooks Online, )
  • Managing A/P for both personal and business entities.
  • Cash flow management, bank account and credit card reconciliations and usage monitoring
  • Assisting with completing monthly close process
  • Gathering financials and other documents for loan compliance
  • Coordinating with 3rd party CPA to compile necessary documents for tax return preparation
  • File accounting-related documents
  • Setting up domestic and international wires
  • Various office administrative duties
Required Skills
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance + 1-2 years relevant experience. Note – equivalent experience in a related field may be accepted in lieu of stated degree requirements.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel – formulas, shortcuts, linking sheets, etc.)
  • Ability to handle a high volume of transactions with speed and efficiency

  • Familiarity with the rest of the MS Office suite, Quick Books, , and Dext
