Meta is seeking a strategic and results-focused Accounting Manager to join our Corporate Accounting Team. In this high-impact role, you’ll be at the forefront of scaling our accounting operations and driving innovation in the global cash accounting processes. You’ll play a key part in our month-end financial close, operationalize strategic plans to optimize accounting processes for scale as Meta’s business grows, and mentor an offshore team.

• Manage key financial reporting areas within Corporate Accounting, ensuring accuracy and completeness of global cash transactions.
• Manage and support the US GAAP close process for global cash accounting, including preparation, review, and approval of journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis.
• Act as a hands‑on contributor, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely and accurate close.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable processes for month‑end and quarter‑end close, leveraging automation and best practices to support business growth.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to offshore teams in Poland and Costa Rica, including managing escalations, reviewing cash transaction postings, and fostering an environment of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with audit requirements, supporting statutory compliance teams, Internal Audit, and External Audit throughout the year.
• Partner with Treasury, Finance, and other cross‑functional teams to optimize processes impacting cash, drive operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives.
• Proactively identify problematic areas and determine root causes.

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• 7+ years relevant experience in the accounting profession.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and internal control best practices.
• Skill in comprehending end‑to‑end systems that impact accounting processes, with experience in effectively scaling financial operations.
• Experience with financial statements and general ledger entries or reviews.
• Proven working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft or Google office tools.
• Experience working independently as an individual contributor, seeking feedback and input where appropriate.

• Experience with a large, fast‑growing, multinational company.
• Big 4 audit experience and CPA.
• Demonstrable experience consistently working collaboratively and respectfully with a larger team distributed across multiple geographic locations.
• Attention to detail yet understanding of the “big picture” and the importance of risk mitigation and an effective control environment.
• Organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement and experience with streamlining processes.
• Experience managing, providing mentorship, and/or oversight to teams.
