Assistant Controller

Overview

Bridgepoint Consulting, an Addison Group company, is currently seeking experienced Assistant Controllers to join our growing Austin team, tasked with supporting our clients in a wide range of interim and project-based accounting needs.

Base pay range
: $/yr - $/yr. This range is provided by Bridgepoint Consulting. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

• Provide hands-on, full-cycle accounting support for client engagements (5–8 years of hands-on experience).
• Execute routine accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cash management.
• Manage monthly closing procedures and monthly/quarterly financial reporting.
• Work in small to mid-sized company environments, multi-task, and wear several hats.
• Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and research technical GAAP issues as needed.
• Adapt to various client environments and communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (degrees are a plus).
• Strong desire for consulting-style work and delivering excellent client service.
• Hungry, Humble, Smart attitude.

• Revenue recognition experience.
• Work experience with both public and private companies.
• Industry experience in startups, technology, software, SaaS, and Big Four/public accounting.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, Great Plains, or Sage Intacct) and moderate–advanced Excel skills.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or MBA.
• Prior employment at a Big 4 or other nationally recognized accounting firms.
