Shipping Clerk-AUP

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $17.25-$24.00 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.

This position reports to the 2nd shift Shipping Superintendent.

The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Overtime is required. Some weekend work is required. Flex time is not available.

• Coordinates the loading of inbound and outbound trucks.
• Reconciles inbound and outbound shipments contents between operator entry and actual orders.
• Assist supervisors in monitoring inventory, code dates, paperwork completion, physical inventory sampling and other duties as assigned.
• Maintains accurate Warehouse, Cold Side AS/RS, Freezer and Loin Cooler inventory records.
• Assist transportation team as needed

• High school education or the equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated use of strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to accurately add large columns of numbers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to learn plant-based computer applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• You must be able to work on your feet and tolerate working in a 40° environment.
• Experience with personal computers, Windows, and Excel.

• Knowledge of company inventory control system.
