- Do you enjoy chasing down the root cause of a fault, whether it lives in a PLC, a VFD, a control circuit, or a mechanical linkage
- Are you comfortable building control panels from schematics and integrating them with pneumatics and mechanical systems
- Does preventive maintenance feel like a smart investment, not a chore
- Apply combined electrical and mechanical know-how to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore uptime.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, control circuits, and variable speed AC drives to stabilize processes.
- Assemble, test, and install control enclosures based on schematic diagrams.
- Build automation equipment using engineering instructions, technical manuals, and your understanding of electronic systems and components.
- Interface electrical controls with pneumatic and mechanical subsystems for reliable operation.
- Handle other duties assigned by management as required to meet production needs.
- Perform routine PMs to keep machines running smoothly, building systems efficient, and facility conditions strong.
- Document every repair and adjustment in the maintenance work order system.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts; confirm proper fluid levels; replace filters; and complete checklist items.
- Use a full range of tools, from hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches to precision measuring devices and electrical electronic test instruments.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring; electrical and electronic components; piping and plumbing; machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
- Plan and lay out repair tasks using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematics.
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal.
- Inspect used parts for dimensional changes with rulers, calipers, micrometers, and similar instruments.
- Fluency in electrical schematic reading.
- High-level troubleshooting skills.
- Mechanical troubleshooting capability.
- Knowledge of single phase and three phase power.
- Experience with 120, 208, 240, and 480 volt systems.
- Competence in motor replacement, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to replace conveyor chains.
- Hands‑on hydraulics experience.
- Pneumatics troubleshooting proficiency.
- Comfort reading and applying blueprints.
