Lead Water Restoration Technician

Starting Pay: $25/hour

Location: West Metro Atlanta (Austell + surrounding areas)

Your Role:

As a Lead Water Restoration Technician
, you will take ownership of mitigation jobs from start to finish. You are the on-site lead, the problem solver, and the professional customers trust during stressful situations.

This role is hands-on and requires strong judgment, organization, and communication. You will be trusted to run jobs properly without micromanagement.

This Role Is Not for You If:

  • You are new to restoration or learning on the job.
  • You cut corners or rush drying to move on.
  • You avoid documentation or customer communication.
  • You struggle with reliability, punctuality, or follow-through.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform water mitigation including extraction, controlled demolition, drying, and monitoring.
  • Accurately assess water losses and determine proper mitigation scope.
  • Set, monitor, and remove drying equipment.
  • Take moisture readings and document daily progress.
  • Communicate clearly with customers and internal team.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.
  • Properly document jobs with photos, notes, and readings.
  • Load, unload, and care for company equipment and vehicles.
  • Follow IICRC standards and company procedures.
  • Support and lead junior technicians when needed.

Requirements:

  • You’ve spent at least two years in the field actively performing water mitigation.
  • You understand how and why materials dry, and can explain your decisions with confidence
  • You’re comfortable taking ownership of a job, making smart calls on site, and following proven processes
  • You show up on time, prepared, and ready.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally with customers, teammates, and leadership.
  • You treat customer properties, company vehicles, and equipment with care and respect.
  • You’re physically capable of the work, including lifting equipment and working in demanding environments.
  • You hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • You take pride in your work even when no one is watching.

Strong Plus (Not Required):

  • IICRC WRT certification, with interest in advancing to ASD or additional credentials.
  • Experience handling both residential and commercial water losses.
  • Comfort using digital tools for job photos, moisture readings, and documentation.
