TRC Talent Solutions is seeking an NDT Technician Level II for our client in Austell, GA

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented NDT Level II Technician to join their aerospace production team. This role is critical in ensuring the structural integrity of flight-critical components through advanced non-destructive testing. The technician will perform inspections, interpret results in accordance with aerospace specifications, and support compliance with Nadcap and FAA requirements.

Job details:

Pay: $24–$30/hr.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections using Fluorescent Penetrant (PT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) methods in accordance with NAS-410 and ASTM standards.
  • Interpret and evaluate test results to determine acceptance or rejection of aerospace components based on customer specifications and blueprints.
  • Set up and calibrate NDT equipment; perform process control checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Accurately document inspection results in the company’s ERP/Quality system.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and Level III to develop or refine inspection techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment while adhering to all environmental and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Certification: Documented Level II certification in PT and MT (Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant) required.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in a dedicated NDT role within the aerospace industry.
  • Standards Knowledge: Strong familiarity with NAS-410 (required) and ASTM E1417/E1444.
  • OJT Documentation: Verified On-the-Job Training (OJT) and classroom hour logs required.
  • Physical Requirements: Must pass annual Jaeger 1 near-vision and color perception testing.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with shot peening or surface enhancement processes.
  • Prior experience working in a Nadcap-accredited facility.
  • Familiarity with Digital Radiography (RT) or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
  • Experience with Passive 8 and Acid Etch methods.
