We are partnering with a private equity–backed industrial services company experiencing rapid growth through acquisitions and organic expansion. The business is building a world‑class finance and accounting function and is seeking a Corporate Controller to help lead that effort.
This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO, with broad responsibility across corporate accounting, consolidations, acquisition accounting, and internal controls. This is not a maintenance role—this is a true builder/fixer opportunity for someone who enjoys creating structure, discipline, and scalable processes.
The RoleThe Corporate Controller will oversee the company’s shared services accounting function and serve as the owner of corporate accounting policies, procedures, and financial controls across a growing multi‑entity platform.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead corporate accounting, consolidations, and financial close across a multi‑ERP environment
- Own acquisition accounting, integrations, and planning for future M&A
- Design and implement a scalable internal controls framework
- Lead external audits and manage auditor relationships
- Establish accounting policies, procedures, and SOPs for finance leaders and controllers across the platform
- Oversee a shared services team (currently 3 direct reports, scaling to ~6 across AR, AP, billing, procurement, and payroll)
- Partner with IT and Finance leadership to optimize systems and reporting infrastructure
- Drive ERP optimization and consolidation initiatives (One Stream + D365)
- CPA (required)
- Prior experience in a private equity–backed environment
- Have worked in public accounting or previously for publicly traded company
- Hands‑on experience with acquisition accounting and integrations
- Solid understanding of internal controls and audit processes
- Comfortable operating in a lean, evolving organization
- Builder mindset — enjoys creating structure where it doesn’t yet exist
- Comfortable rolling up sleeves and fixing problems
- Able to pivot, prioritize, and operate without a fully built playbook
