Selectek is seeking a Plumbing Designer to join our engineering team and provide comprehensive design support for a variety of commercial, municipal, and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing system design and be proficient in Revit and relevant industry codes.
Responsibilities:
- Design plumbing systems including service water piping, sewage disposal systems, specialty piping, and fire safety systems.
- Ensure all designs comply with local and national building codes.
- Conduct pre-design site visits to survey existing conditions and prepare preliminary drawings.
- Develop complete construction contract documents including calculations, drawings, schematics, and technical details.
- Review construction submittals for conformance with design documents.
- Perform site observations during construction to ensure adherence to design intent and code compliance.
- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- 2-4 years of plumbing design experience, ideally in commercial, municipal, or institutional projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface with clients and stakeholders.
