Barrington Golf Club is seeking an experienced Lead Assistant Golf Professional who is self-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the golf industry, a genuine love for the game, and a commitment to exceeding member expectations.

This role requires proven leadership ability, extensive tournament management experience, and excellent communication and organizational skills. The position is well suited for a PGA Member or a Level 3 PGA Associate.

Established in 1991, Barrington Golf Club is a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course located in Aurora, Ohio, approximately 25 miles southeast of Cleveland. The Wolstein Group originally oversaw the development of Barrington Golf Club and the surrounding residential community, Barrington Estates. The clubhouse officially opened in 1994.

In 2012, prominent local businessman Monte Ahuja acquired Barrington Golf Club. Under his leadership, the Club has undergone a significant transformation, highlighted by a commitment to service excellence, extensive clubhouse and racquet club enhancements, and continued golf course improvements.

The Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course is maintained in impeccable condition, featuring greens that are more temperate than typically designed by Mr. Nicklaus, yet consistently fast. The course appeals to players of all skill levels, offering multiple tee options, generous fairways, and well-bunkered greens.

The layout provides an excellent mix of holes: challenging par 3s that demand precision off the tee, diverse and strategic par 4s, and risk-reward par 5s. Barrington is a complete golf facility, featuring one of the largest natural grass practice tees in Northeast Ohio.

• Level 3 associate or higher required (in good standing).
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as an Assistant Golf Professional.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the club's and its members' needs.
• Able to demonstrate leadership capabilities with experience managing and motivating staff.
• Proficiency in Golf Genius Tournament Software, Golf Genius Golf Shop Software, Fore Tees, and Jonas POS systems.
• Experience teaching private lessons, clinics and conducting club fittings.
• Strong tournament management skills with experience in running large tournaments.
• Strong playing ability and commitment to playing with members

• Operational Leadership: Manage the daily golf operations in the absence of the Head Professional, ensuring the highest standards of member service.
• Tournament Management: Lead the execution of a robust member tournament calendar, utilizing Golf Genius software to provide a professional experience. This includes pre-tournament planning, coordination with staff, and on-the-day management to ensure seamless operations.
• Staff Mentorship: Assist in the hiring, training, and scheduling.
• Member Relations: Maintain a high-profile presence on the "front lines," anticipating member needs and fostering a welcoming culture.
• Course Management: Aid in starting, pace of play management, and ensure all daily operations on the course run smoothly.
