Responsible for providing direct support to the Quality and Production teams in the ring rolling mill and backup assistance to the machine shop.
Duties and Responsibilities- Engage in analysis of processes and procedures to drive operational improvements.
- Create inspection plans in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Responsible for accurate and timely creation of certifications and certificates of compliance per customer requirements.
- Develop and implement quality process controls and assure product quality systems are strictly adhered to (SPC, Capability Analysis, FMEA Quality Plans, etc.).
- Utilize and maintain quality programs (control of non-conforming material, MRB, calibration) including providing support for problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Write CMM programs utilizing Keyence WM software.
- Responsible for PPAP, FAI, FAT, cFAT and any other part qualifying processes.
- Perform in-depth part layout using CMMs as well as all other layout techniques.
- Maintain gauge calibration system.
- Participate in the internal/external audit team.
- Participate and/or lead corrective actions on internal or external issues.
- Participate in 3rd party part surveys and systems certification audits.
Five years of related manufacturing experience and/or training in a manufacturing setting. Associate of Science degree (any science field) and certified CMM Operation and/or programming preferred.
Skills and AbilitiesManage several tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines. Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts including trigonometry and geometry. Knowledge of GD&T and basic measuring equipment with understanding of MSA (measurement systems analysis).
