Food Service Worker (Full Time and Part Time)

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is hiring Food Service Workers for full‑time and part‑time positions at AU Res Dining Alumni Hall, 347 South Gladstone Avenue, Aurora, IL 60506.

Schedule:

7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (days may vary). Pay: $17.00–$18.50 per hour. Uniforms provided; holidays off; shift meals included.

Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Previous prep cooking experience preferred.
