Registered Nurse - Vascular Services

Overview

The registered nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient's status, plan of care, and goal achievement. Care is provided in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion based on the Caring Model, exemplifies the mission, vision, and values of Rush Copley, and is in accordance with policies and procedures. The registered nurse upholds ethical and safe processes while keeping patient care as the top priority.

The position works closely with the entire multidisciplinary team and must have a complete understanding of its own limitations and seek advice, judgment, and support of others when necessary.

The registered nurse will care for patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, and interventional radiology.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient's status, plan of care, and goal achievement.
• Provide care in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion based on the Caring Model and in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Uphold ethical and safe processes with the patient’s care as a top priority.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; recognize own limitations and seek advice, judgment, and support when necessary.
• Care for patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, and interventional radiology.

• Current IL RN Licensure and CPR required.
• ACLS required in all Critical Care/ER areas.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience required.
• Previous cath lab experience preferred, but candidates with critical care or ER experience will be considered.
• Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for the call requirement.
• A BSN degree, if not already obtained, is required within 5 years of hire.
