Job Summary

Performs the preventive and reactive maintenance duties required for the manufacturing operations of the plant. Priorities of the Maintenance Technician I include the execution of PM schedules, repair of any equipment that is needed to maintain maximum production rates and maintenance of an adequate spare parts inventory. This position requires the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week on a shift, weekends as required and fulfill on‑call duties for repairs and assistance.

Functions Duties and Responsibilities Description
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs on machines and their controls (blenders, scales, bottle rinsers/fillers/cappers/labelers, check weighers, case erectors, case sealers, palletizers, stretch wrappers, DC /AC motor & drives etc.…).
  • Maintain and develop job skills through internal and external training programs.
  • Contact, specify, and order replacement parts & control components from suppliers through Parts Clerk.
  • Effectively contribute to CMMS performance through timely PM & Repair Work Order completion while ensuring compliance to safety and quality requirements.
  • 1st responder to troubleshooting machine problems, contact Electrical & Controls Technicians if additional support is needed.
  • Work with production staff to ensure the safe and reliable operation of plant equipment.
  • Able to self‑train and operate production equipment.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance and training to team members including maintenance trainees & operators.
  • Help develop and implement Continuous Improvement projects to improve production efficiencies and Safety.
  • Support Daily Management directives and initiatives.
  • Conduct equipment inspections to identify and analyze corrective and preventive maintenance.
