Production Manager, Operations Manager
In this vital role, you will lead a dynamic team focused on assembling essential products and components while making impactful decisions to optimize work processes and employee performance.
YourResponsibilities Include:
- Leading and guiding manufacturing employees across various processes and operations.
- Assigning tasks and providing clear instructions on work techniques, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Ensuring the availability of necessary materials, tools, and fixtures.
- Engaging in hands‑on work to maintain workflow efficiency and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conducting quality audits to verify adherence to standards and ensuring only compliant products are released.
- Assisting in the evaluation of team members’ performance and setting achievable goals.
- Performing supervisory functions while collaborating with the supervisor for employee relations matters.
- Executing internal audits and reporting on findings to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Analyzing materials and processes to identify potential production disruptions.
- Maintaining accurate production records and inventory management.
- Communicating any discrepancies in drawings or BOMs to the Engineering team.
- Utilizing resources wisely to optimize productivity.
- Training team members on inspection tasks to enhance skill levels across the board.
- Documenting actions through completion of production and quality forms.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the capability to supervise and coordinate diverse tasks within a fast‑paced environment.
- Can interpret complex drawings and schematics and convey them effectively to others.
- Have intermediate proficiency in MS Word and Excel, with experience in ERP systems being a plus.
- Understand and apply principles of corrective and preventive actions.
- Bring 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Have prior leadership experience within a team environment (desired).
- Classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level.
- Lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally (with assistance); up to 40 pounds frequently.
- Ability to carry up to 40 pounds occasionally for distances up to 25 feet.
- Frequent pushing/pulling of up to 40 pounds; occasional assistance for heavier weights.
- Continuous standing and walking; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and lifting.
- Competitive hourly pay range: $23 - $29, based on skills and experience.
