As an Advanced CNC Lathe & Mill Technician, you’ll combine setup mastery, programming skill, and meticulous inspection to deliver parts that meet stringent medical device requirements.

How You’ll Contribute- Champion Quality Management System and EHS commitments—accurate records, GMP discipline, and a safety-first mindset.
- Plan sequences from prints, drawings, and sample parts; select tools and work holding for optimal results.
- Set up and run lathes, mills, shapers, and grinders; refine feeds/speeds in-process for best finish and tolerance.
- Program CNC controls and electronic instruments (G-code/CAM) to execute precise toolpaths.
- Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials; verify machine readiness and efficiency.
- Inspect work using micrometers, vernier calipers, and other precision gauges; confirm conformance and surface integrity.
- Maintain equipment health; diagnose issues and determine adjustments or repairs.
- Ensure proper cooling and lubrication; reduce scrap through thoughtful process control.
- Lay out, measure, and mark stock to indicate cuts; fit and assemble parts to build/repair machine tools.
- Collaborate with engineering, supervisors, and manufacturing team members to exchange technical knowledge.
- Take on additional duties as assigned to meet production goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent; machining certificate/technical degree preferred.
- Demonstrated success as a machinist in both CNC and manual settings.
- Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, materials, and shop math.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Detail orientation, problem-solving drive, and strong teamwork/communication.
- GD&T proficiency
- Production setups and tooling optimization
- G-code programming and CAM
- CNC machine installation, troubleshooting, and repair
- Manual machining expertise
- CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) and CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC)
- CNC Lathe (2–4 axis) and CNC Lathe (5+ axis)
- CAM software
- Regularly: stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk/hear;
Occasionally: sit, climb/balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl. - Lift: up to 25 lbs frequently; up to 100 lbs occasionally.
- Environment: near moving mechanical parts; frequent fumes/airborne particles and electrical shock risk; occasional exposure to toxic/caustic chemicals and radiation.
