Position: Senior Project Manager (Manufacturing)

What You'll Do

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee large and strategically important projects from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment across engineering, operations, product development, and customer-facing teams. You will serve as a key driver of execution excellence, proactive risk management, and clear communication — both internally and externally.

In addition to leading high-impact initiatives, you will mentor and develop junior project managers, elevate delivery processes, and help foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Lead cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, production staff, contractors, and vendors
  • Manage complex customer projects from initiation through successful delivery
  • Oversee project budgets, track costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate risks to minimize disruption and delays
  • Partner with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
  • Coordinate with senior leadership on portfolio prioritization, capacity planning, bottlenecks, and performance metrics
  • Drive continuous improvement of project and portfolio management tools, templates, and reporting processes
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines
  • Maintain detailed documentation including schedules, reports, Bills of Materials, and status updates
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers to strengthen overall team performance
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field
  • 10+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
  • 5+ years of experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong expertise in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred)
  • Experience with project planning and portfolio management software
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Familiarity with retail shelving or similar manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • PMP or similar certification (preferred)
  • Experience with Smart Sheet, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling tools (preferred)

The position is primarily office-based with regular interaction on the production floor to collaborate with manufacturing teams, monitor project progress, and address operational challenges. Occasional travel may be required to visit customer sites, vendors, or other company locations.
