The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing all HR functions across multiple states and multiple business units. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, manages employee relations matters, oversees workers’ compensation programs, and partners with leadership to support business objectives through effective people strategies.
What You Will Do- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Manage state‑specific policies, leave laws, wage and hour requirements, and reporting obligations.
- Provide HR guidance and operational support across multiple locations or business units.
- Partner with leaders to drive consistent HR practices and organizational culture.
- Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and performance management processes.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations matters.
- Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Coach managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
- Demonstrated experience supporting multi‑state and multi‑unit operations.
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation and employee relations best practices.
- Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance.
