History of the Company:
Superior Ambulance Service started in Bt. 1959 and is now the largest independent, locally owned, and operated emergency medical services provider in the Midwest, employing more than 3,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics and Nurses across Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Superior offers Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed‑wing emergency medical transportation.
EMTs and Paramedics transport and care for patients within the scope of state EMS regulations, providing the highest quality care in emergencies and scheduled medical transports.
Responsibilities- Provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in EMT training.
- Ensure safe transport, accurately using map reading
Ina diligent street-name determination and addressing for the expedient dispatch of patients. - Assess patients and convey conditions clearly to subsequent medical professionals.
- Prepare accurate written reports of patient condition, history, and treatment provided.
- Document billing information correctly.
- Maintain vehicle sanitary condition, monitor fluid levels and gauges.
- EMT National Registry and/or current state license (or pending).
- Capability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and ability to operate a vehicle in various conditions, including day, night, and inclement weather.
- Pass a pre‑employment interview, including a physical and lifting examination and a drug screening.

Salary Range: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, rates based on experience and full‑time schedule. Additional earnings: bi‑weekly bonus up to $4.00 per hour.
