Rush University System for Health and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center have partnered to create RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center. The partnership represents advanced clinical and operational integration in the delivery of cancer care, providing Rush patients greater access to cancer treatments and research considered among the best in the world.
Duties & Responsibilities- Inpatient service
- Rotating four-day, 10-hour shift schedule
- Supervision of four direct reports to staff the inpatient Hematology Unit seven days a week alongside a Hematology Hospitalist and a Hematologist
Position includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus!
Preferred Qualifications- Applicants with 3+ years of previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Hematology, or other cancer related specialties are required. Relevant RN experience may be considered.
- APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification if doing Inpatient work.
Nurse Practitioner:
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process.
- Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position.
- Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP).
Physician Assistant:
- Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process.
- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program.
- Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.
Rush has over 600 APPs across the enterprise that provide comprehensive patient care each day autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Across the system, the APPs are supported by 4 levels of leadership, including 39 Lead APPs, three chief CRNAs, and a Senior Director of Advanced Practice Providers. Rush’s vision is to have every APP practicing at full scope and top of license.
