Nurse Dementia Therapist

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Dementia Therapist to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals living with dementia. The role involves assessing needs, creating tailored care plans, administering medication, and supporting residents with meaningful daily activities.

• Deliver individualised care tailored to each resident’s needs.
• Ensure safe and accurate administration of medication.
• Formulate and implement person-centred care plans.
• Work collaboratively with the care team and liaise with multi-disciplinary professionals.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support to residents.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance quality of life.

• Strong clinical knowledge in dementia care.
• Competence in safe medication administration.
• Ability to develop and implement person-centred care plans.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience in dementia-focused therapy techniques.
• Training in cognitive stimulation and behaviour management.
• Knowledge of current dementia research and best practices.

• Registered Nurse qualification with active license.
• Prior experience in dementia or elderly care preferred.
• Completion of additional training in dementia and medication management (or willingness to complete).
