Description

Join Aurora Mental Health & Recovery’s (AMHR) Crisis Services division and be part of a statewide initiative delivering life-saving mental health support when it’s needed most. Our Walk-In Crisis Center (WIC) and our 24/7-16-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) provide immediate assessments, therapy, safety planning, medication services, and care coordination for individuals experiencing self-defined crises. We are seeking a Master’s-level Unlicensed Therapist (MA with Candidate Permit – SWC/LSW, LPCC, or MFT-C), Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT), or Unlicensed/Licensed Psychologist to join our CSU team, where you’ll conduct diagnostic assessments, individual and group therapy, develop and monitor treatment plans, and deliver crisis interventions, including de-escalation and withdrawal management.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, skilled in crisis management and M1 hold procedures, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a fully onsite role, serving current CSU clients alongside a multidisciplinary team and making a vital difference in the lives of those in crisis.

Schedule. This Position Is Fully Onsite/In-person Working 4x10-hour Shifts

  • Sunday - Wednesday; 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • Wednesday - Saturday; 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Salary for this role. Wage is based on years of licensure and company equity. Shift differentials available for certain shifts.
  • Unlicensed Therapist: $28.12 - $38.48 per hour.
  • Licensed Therapist: $31.98 - $43.76 per hour.
  • Unlicensed Psychologist: $33.66 - $40.13 per hour.
  • Licensed Psychologist: $47.83 - $57.03 per hour.
Shift Differential Pay. The Day weekend shift differential is paid from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays only; the Swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm; and the Overnight shift differential is paid from 11 pm - 7 am
  • Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $2.50/hour
  • Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hour
  • Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $3.25//hour
Bilingual Language Differential Pay.
* rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.
  • Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).
Essential Duties

  • Facilitate recovery and optimal quality of life in clients with behavioral health concerns by providing clinical services, case management, and education. In collaboration with the client, create and carry out a consistent plan of treatment, from intake and assessment to closure.
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, individual, family, and/or group therapy with assigned clients.
  • Develop and monitor treatment plans; update at required intervals.
  • Consult with internal and external professionals and collaterals to ensure access to needed services and proactive coordination of care.
  • Provide clinical case-management services as needed. Provide crisis intervention as appropriate.
  • Provide comprehensive clinical services designed to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life.
  • Assist clients in evaluating strengths and symptoms, and set their own goals.
  • Guide and instruct clients in coping skills.
  • Offer consultation to community partners and providers.
  • Ensure that billing information is up-to-date for assigned clients. Seek insurance authorization for services as required.
