We are looking for a talented and motivated Aspen Tech DGM (Monarch) Engineer to support the design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of Aspen Tech DGM Monarch solutions, including SCADA, Energy Management Systems (EMS), Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS), and Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS). The ideal candidate will have experience in power systems, software integration, and working with utilities or industrial clients.
Responsibilities- Design, configure, and implement Aspen Tech DGM solutions, including SCADA, EMS, ADMS, Chronos and DERMS.
- Work closely with clients to understand requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Integrate Aspen Tech DGM products with existing IT and OT systems.
- Develop and execute system testing, validation, and commissioning activities.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for end-users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and project managers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and cybersecurity best practices.
- Document system configurations, workflows, and technical procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering[KS2] , Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with SCADA, EMS, ADMS, or DERMS solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Aspen Tech DGM products is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of power systems, grid operations, and utility workflows.
- Experience with RTU communication protocols such as DNP3, Modbus[KS3] , and IEC
61850. - Knowledge of database management and scripting (SQL, Python, or Power Shell).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in industrial control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams.
- Comfortable using both Linux and Windows based operating systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based grid management solutions and IoT technologies.
- Certifications related to SCADA[KS4] /EMS/DMS systems.
- Experience with virtualization, containerization, and modern IT architectures.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for power system operations.
- Location Preference:
Cleveland, OH or Houston. TX. Other locations potentially available based on experience/needs.
