Education Administration, School Principal
Description
Perform functions to implement the school's attendance and discipline policies to ensure a safe and orderly school environment. This is a full-time position.
Job Summary- Implement attendance policies and keep accurate records. Notify Administrators and parents of excessive student absenteeism.
- Monitor school and grounds for orderly behavior and ensure school discipline code is enforced.
- Work with parents, outside agencies, school resource officer and student services to handle issues or incidents affecting students or school events.
- Oversee shuttle bus transportation between school buildings.
- Coordinate placement or re‑entry of students from alternative school settings.
- Manage in‑school detention center.
- Actively participate on problem‑solving and intervention teams to facilitate early involvement and resolution to behavioral problems.
- Supervise at various after‑hours and evening events.
Responsible to supervise Deans Assistants and attendance office staff. Assign and review work, train, assist employees and eliminate ordinary difficulties.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsThe qualified candidate will have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License. Candidates holding an administrative endorsement or working on the Principal endorsement are preferred.
Rate of Pay and BenefitsSalary is commensurate with education and experience and will be determined by the new Collective Bargaining Agreement, which is currently under negotiation (effective July 1, 2026). To establish a baseline, the current IPEA Salary and Stipend Schedule 2025‑ and benefits as outlined in current contract IPEA Agreement 2022‑ are available for review.
