Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Aurora, IL, is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for a contract position. This role offers the opportunity to support student development and well-being by providing psychological services within the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify students needs and guide intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and behavioral support to students
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and adjust services accordingly
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting mental health
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience administering and interpreting psychological assessments
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
