Description

Indian Prairie School District 204, located in Naperville and Aurora, Illinois, is seeking an outstanding educational leader. This leader will help us achieve our mission of inspiring all students to achieve their greatest potential. This is a full‑time position starting July 1, 2026. The work calendar is a 12‑month calendar.

Job Summary
  • Provide leadership in developing a curricular expertise and instructional focus at the high school level. Leadership includes responsibility to collaborate with middle and elementary directors to guarantee a viable and guaranteed district-wide instructional program.
  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing instructional practices and curricula that maximize college and career readiness of all students.
  • Oversee and direct the assigned curricular areas, including:
    • Textbook and instructional materials, including review and adoption;
    • Curriculum articulation, both horizontal and vertical;
    • Curriculum development process, including needs assessments or audit of current status, revising, monitoring;
    • Best practices for instructional delivery;
    • Committee development, facilitation, and follow‑up;
    • Communication with all stakeholders;
    • Professional development planning, implementation, and follow‑through;
    • Uses and implementation of technology in curriculum resources and instructional delivery.
  • Collaborate with teachers, department chairs, and school and district administrators to enhance instructional practices and build collective capacity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that interventions are effectively designed and implemented at all tiers of the MTSS framework.
  • Develop and implement research to provide information concerning the effectiveness of various instructional programs with the objective of evaluating and improving instructional programs if necessary.
  • Formulate and present formal recommendations to the Assistant Superintendent and/or the Board of Education regarding curriculum and instruction modifications based on comprehensive assessment data.
  • Direct, coordinate and facilitate activities in collaboration with staff to meet district and Board goals.
  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of curriculum development, instructional practices, assessment, professional learning in assigned areas.
  • Manage efficiently and effectively texts and instructional materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain the delivery of curriculum and instruction consistently across classrooms in the district.
  • Manage assigned budget in a timely and cost‑efficient manner.
  • Provide positive communication individually, with groups, and with the media regarding student and staff achievement; parent issues and concerns; and curriculum area or program area information.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of AI and other technologies, their uses for learning, teaching, and assessment; and accessing and managing information and data.
  • Follow the direction of his/her supervisor.

  • Demonstrated competence in leadership, management, interpersonal relations, and communications.
