Position: Oral Surgery Surgical Assistant (FT)

Oral Surgery Surgical Assistant

North Aurora, IL

Aurora Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a skilled and compassionate Full-Time Surgical Assistant to join our team! As a Surgical Assistant, you will work closely with our oral surgeon and other team members to provide exceptional care to our patients as well as perform light administrative duties. We have a small team so each of us are cross‑trained to help in every department.

Schedule
  • Monday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Tuesday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Thursday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Friday 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
Compensation
  • $22 - $26 per hour (Based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in monitoring patient’s vital statistics during surgery.
  • Review pre‑op and post‑op instructions with patients.
  • Review patient health history and updates via the practice management software.
  • Acquire diagnostic x‑rays.
  • Prepare and break down surgical tray and operatories.
Qualifications
  • Must be friendly and be able to maintain a smile and positive attitude in high‑pressure environments.
  • Superior organizational skills and be able to take initiative.
  • Must be a team player and work well with others.
  • Ability to multi‑task, problem‑solve, and prioritize tasks.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Experience and Education

    Minimum Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 6 months surgical experience or relevant experience in a dental/medical profession.
