Job Summary
:
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe. They are seeking a Junior Software Developer to support Intelligence Community and DoD customers, focusing on satellite situational awareness data processing and distribution.

Responsibilities
:

• Provide TS/SCI Java software development of modules. Some of these techniques include but are not limited to, event-driven or state-driven programming, error logging, and exception handling.

• Perform TS/SCI software analysis, architecture, engineering, and integration services at the unit, module, and system levels.

• Perform all aspects of software engineering support required to implement systems.

• Adhere to open standards and modern software development methodologies, including what is considered 'best' practices by Industry to the extent that operational requirements will allow.

• Provide technical reports, white papers and other documentation as required to documents findings of all software engineering service activities.

Qualifications
:
Required
:

• An Associates degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional four (4) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will be considered.

• This position requires the candidate possess a minimum clearance of TS/SCI and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- contract requires TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.

• Must be proficient in Java (Model, Entity, Data Transfer Object (DTO), Data Access (DAO))

• Experience with the Spring framework

• Experience with JUnit test creation, Remote Debugging (JDWP) and Spring Framework - Map Struct Annotations

• Experience with a relational database, such as Postgre

SQL, REDIS (understand queries and commands)

• Experience working with Linux distributions and how to use commands and navigation

• Experience with Messaging like Active

MQ and Camel Route

• Working knowledge of web application basics like HTTP, HTML, REST, Web Socket, CSS, and Java Script

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Gerrit/ GIT.

• Familiar with Microservices, Containerization, and Kubernetes

Preferred
:

• Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python

• Familiar with web server configuration on NGINX, Apache, or similar

• Familiar with Bootstrap and Less

• Experience with NiFi, developing flows and process groups

• Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification or working toward certification
