Software Engineer (Back-End Java)

ICR is looking for a Mid‑Senior level, experienced and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. A Software Engineer with Java experience to help with back-end Java development is preferred.

• Understand customer/operational requirements and implement new functionality into software products.
• Document and communicate highly technical concepts effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences in a clear and effective manner.
• Develop tests, including unit, integration, and e2e tests to validate critical aspects of the system.
• Research, design, development and test of software applications for a variety of systems.
• Occasional travel will be required for this position in support of team integration.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on application design and implementation.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SSBI and SCI eligibility -- US Citizenship is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in similar role.
• Proficient in Java (Spring, Quarkus, Micronaut or similar), Docker, Kubernetes or similar tools.
• Experience with software development lifecycle and use of associated tools.
• Dev Ops experience in deploying and troubleshooting operation systems.
• Experience building generic solutions leveraging inheritance and interfaces.
• Experience with message broker applications (Kafka, Active
  
  MQ, Rabbit
  
  MQ, etc.).
• Experience with a variety of data formats, such as JSON, XML, and schema validation of these formats.
• Experience with containerization, microservices, and inter-service communication.
• Experience developing software on Linux.
• Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of self‑initiative and self‑motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively in small team settings to solve complex problems.

• 10+ years of experience (or a mix of experience and advanced degree).
• Experience with distributed software version control systems and continuous integration, such as GIT pipelines and Jenkins.
• Understanding of static and dynamic software analysis tools and techniques.
• Experience with containers and/or container orchestration software such as Kubernetes, Open Shift, etc.
• Experience implementing and integrating security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, integrity, and non‑repudiation) into applications.
• Familiarity with RF systems and capabilities.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000
