Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at S.J. Louis, you will immerse yourself in the thrill of working in diverse outdoor environments, overcoming challenges, and contributing to the seamless operation of our equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, inspect for defects, maintain various heavy equipment models such as Caterpillar and Komatsu, perform preventive maintenance tasks, collaborate with a proactive team, and learn from experienced professionals.

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment based on site complaints.
• Inspect for defects and perform preventive maintenance.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure equipment uptime.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and follow procedural instructions.

• Knowledge of construction equipment maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, gasoline, and record‑keeping.
• Experience in heavy equipment repairs and diagnostics.
• Experience working with hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Ability to follow procedures and managerial direction.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Class A or B CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel on a regular rotation schedule.
