Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team!

$18.00 to $21.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.43 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and assists with inquiries and problem resolution. Associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; collaborates to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and other duties as needed.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.) as required by law.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Should be able to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
