We are seeking a professional to contribute to advanced research on the retina and early visual system. The role involves in‑vivo and ex‑vivo electrophysiology, two‑photon imaging, biophysical modeling, and data analysis across multiple laboratories.
Key Responsibilities- Whole‑cell patch‑clamp electrophysiology
- Two‑photon calcium imaging of cellular populations and synaptic inputs
- Electroretinogram measurements
- Equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting
- Software development to support experiments (Python, MATLAB, Igor Pro)
- Biophysical modeling and construction of machine‑learning‑based models
- Statistical analysis of single‑cell and population‑level recordings
- Collaboration with Principal Investigators and other stakeholders to support laboratory functions
- Work onsite in Aurora, CO
- Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biophysics, bioengineering, psychobiology, or a related field.
- For senior positions, a combination of relevant education and technical experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree on a year‑for‑year basis.
- Master’s degree in neuroscience, biophysics, psychobiology, or a related field.
- Experience with electrophysiology and/or imaging techniques.
- Experience with chronic stereotaxic surgeries, AAV injection of GCaMP, and awake‑behaving recordings.
- Experience with neural data analysis, histological techniques, and neurological modeling.
- Proficiency in coding languages (Python, MATLAB, Igor Pro) and machine‑learning frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch).
- Experience with computational neuroscience platforms such as GENESIS, NEURON, and MCell.
