. This role supervises daily production floor activities related to quality, coordinates quality activities, and provides leadership to maintain an effective food safety and quality management system.
Base Pay Range: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
Shift: 10:00 pm – 6:30 am

Key Responsibilities- Supervise QA technicians and ensure QA tasks are completed.
- Provide guidance on quality and food safety issues to operations and QA teams.
- Coach, train, and support the QA team to support business growth.
- Communicate daily with FSQA Techs regarding production schedule and QA issues.
- Train FSQA Techs and perform new employee orientations.
- Maintain inventory of QC/lab supplies and coordinate training from suppliers or new equipment purchased.
- Work with QA Manager to discipline workers as appropriate.
- Review and organize operational paperwork on a daily basis.
- Support execution of internal and third‑party audits and participate in inspections.
- Assist with formula changes and product issues.
- Assist with hold, trace, and recall program and summarize hold reports.
- Assist with plant safety programs.
- Assume some responsibilities of the QA Manager in absence.
- Serve as backup to the Quality Manager.
- Perform assignments in accordance with established GMPs, policies and procedures.
- Support ops and other support teams in reducing foreign object contamination.
- Oversee product releases.
- Display appropriate work ethics.
- Perform daily product review and customer complaint reviews.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- BS degree or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Previous knowledge working in food production Quality Assurance department.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Must have a flexible schedule including working weekends, as necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
- Follows production dress code standards and maintains good personal hygiene.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Employee is expected to actively participate on the production floor.
- Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Stoop, kneel or bend.
- Employee must lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and request assistance if weight is exceeded.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 45 pounds and request assistance if weight is exceeded.
