Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various medical practices. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to diagnose and treat various health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on clinical evaluations.
- Administer medications, including injections, IV infusions, and perform procedures such as suturing and catheterization.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, including case management and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively.
- Stay updated on clinical best practices, guidelines, and advancements in healthcare technology.
Skills
Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills:
- Proficiency in Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, eClinical
Works, or similar EMR/EHR systems. - Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
- Familiarity with specialties such as gastroenterology, pediatrics, geriatrics, infectious disease care, behavioral health, and pain management.
- Ability to perform procedures like IV insertion, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and airway management.
- Experience with telehealth services and providing remote patient care.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams. Pay: $55,161.32 - $66,430.84 per year
