Pay: $40.86 - $63.33 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.
The Nursing Supervisor provides expert clinical and operational leadership within a highly specialized neurosurgical service line. This role is ideal for an experienced nursing leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment and is passionate about advancing exceptional patient outcomes through evidence‑based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and staff development. The Nursing Supervisor partners closely with neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership to ensure safe, innovative, and patient‑centered care across the continuum of neurosurgical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 24/7 clinical and administrative leadership to neurosurgical nursing teams, ensuring delivery of safe, high‑quality, and compassionate care for complex neurological and neurosurgical patients.
- Serve as a clinical expert and resource in neurosurgical nursing practice, supporting staff in managing high‑acuity cases, advanced technologies, and evolving surgical interventions.
- Lead and support nursing staff through coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and professional development, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, anesthesiology, critical care, rehabilitation, and ancillary services to ensure seamless interdisciplinary care and optimal patient flow.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource utilization to meet patient care needs while maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Promote evidence‑based practice, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety standards, actively participating in process improvement and outcome measurement.
- Respond to and resolve clinical, staffing, and operational issues in real time, using sound judgment and strong decision‑making skills in high‑pressure situations.
- Support implementation of new technologies, clinical protocols, and service line growth initiatives within neurosurgery.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements related to nursing practice and patient care.
- Minimum Required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. - Required Licensure/Certification:
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level. - Minimum Experience:
3 years of nursing experience. Strongly Preferred: 3 years of clinic supervising experience. - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in‑hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
