Position

Summary

The Material Handler Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations associated with material handling operations. This includes related activities for receiving material availability and staging material to production lines to ensure material flows efficiently and accurately throughout the production process. This role provides direction, training and performance feedback to the Material Handler team, supports Lean Manufacturing initiatives, and collaborates closely with Production, Supply Chain, Quality and Logistics to maintain on‑time delivery and Production Efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise all Material handlers across multi production lines, ensuring adherence to Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and safety protocols.
  • Assign daily work task based on production priorities, project schedules, and manpower availability.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members on receiving material staging full and accurate kits by production stations, and documentation of best practices.
  • Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and participate in performance evaluations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Production, Supply Chain, Quality, and Inventory regarding inventory‑related issues.
  • Coordinate tracking and transportation of materials between Mission Critical facilities.
  • Collaborate with Logistics to set up transportation of materials and finished goods.
  • Plan and maintain supermarket zones per production station requirements, and ensure materials are staged efficiently and organized using 5S principles.
  • Lead the setup of supermarket areas (taping, labeling, shelving) to support process flow and visibility.
  • Ensure all BOM (Bill of Materials) items are kitted accurately, labeled properly, and delivered to the correct production area.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material handling efficiency, layout, and accuracy through Lean and 5S initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support and enforce all company policies, including ISO 9001, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to RK’s safety programs, PPE requirements, and Stop Work Authority.
  • Conduct regular safety checks of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and staging area using visual controls and 5S practices.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of material handling, warehouse, or logistics experience required.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Proficient in ERP/WMS systems, Microsoft Office, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
